Our Process

Unique Approach. Proven Results.

Unlike traditional decision making methods, which often start by searching for a final strategy, Open Options applies a proven, structured approach to strategic decision making (based on game theory) which considers various players and viewpoints before defining a strategic plan. Through this method, we develop strategies around a real dynamic environment, rather than working out detailed strategic plans that don't account for the actions of other players.

Here's how it works:

  1. Instead of looking for a strategy first, we start by finding out who the important players are, what actions are available to them, and what each player wants or needs.
  2. Once we have the players, options and preferences identified, we analyze this information using our knowledge and experience, as well our proprietary software tools.
  3. Finally, we provide you with strategic insights, tactical observations and an action plan so you can move forward to attain your Best Attainable OutcomeTM.

Fast Turnaround

Open Options understands executives don't have time to waste. We've streamlined our process so you can achieve the most effective results in the most efficient way.

Clear Actionable Results

After Open Options examines multiple scenarios and assesses the feasibility of specific strategies for your situation, we provide you with the following results:

  1. A clear action plan for achieving the Best Attainable OutcomeTM for your company.
  2. An explanation and clear guidance for implementing the strategy.
  3. A description of what the likely "natural" or expected outcome would be for your situation based on our analysis of all the players, their potential actions, and their motives.
  4. An outline of what the best outcome would be for your organization along with the rationale to support it (including data on the power distribution among the players, compatibility metrics among the players, aggressiveness/complacency indicators, and key threat and trade off opportunities).
  5. A report summarizing the results of our analysis as well as all client input, which served as a basis for the strategy model we developed.
  6. An option to examine future "sensitivity analyses", which can be used to re-examine the situation, if key factors change, to ensure that the recommended strategy is still the best one.
