Open Options is looking for talented professionals to fill the following positions:

Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at Open Options, your role is to develop new clients, build business with existing clients and assist in executing strategy projects with clients.

Developing new clients involves creating initial opportunities to explain the value proposition of the Open Options Process to senior level executives in large organizations and building trusting relationships with these clients over time. This requires disciplined cold calling and networking as well as patience, polite persistence, evident maturity and integrity.

Much of our business is with repeat clients, so it is insufficient to focus on new clients alone. Maintaining active relationships with clients includes conducting a program of regular contacts, arranging seminars and courses, helping internal coaches build networks within client organizations, and other business building activities.

The job requires taking a strong role in executing projects as well. This includes helping to facilitate small client teams as they are taken through the Open Options Process, contributing to the technical analysis, interacting with the client as the analysis is developed, presenting the analysis results and helping the client with implementation issues. Training in the proprietary technology is provided to the extent necessary to perform these roles.

Because of the senior level at which strategy services are sold, you must have exceptional intellectual and communication strengths, both spoken and written. You must have experience selling and delivering management consulting services to large corporate clients. A network of existing contacts in the Strategy or Planning departments of large corporations is desirable.

You should be confident presenting a complex technical service to clients at a senior level and be willing to invest in a 6-12 month sales cycle. You should have excellent small group management and facilitation skills and demonstrated ability in assessing complex strategic issues.

A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or science is necessary. A background in one of the decision sciences is desirable.

Strategy Analyst

As a Strategy Analyst at Open Options, your role consists of:

  • Facilitating information gathering sessions
  • Analyzing the information collected using proprietary software and your business experience
  • Preparing written strategy reports and presenting the results to the client

You should have extensive experience in working with senior decision makers in a corporate setting. You should be comfortable leading intensive facilitation sessions and making oral presentations to senior executives. Your proven capacity for deep analytical thinking is top-notch and you should have extensive general business experience.

An appropriate advanced degree in business, engineering or science is necessary. A background in decision science, especially game theory, is desirable, as is the ability to code in VBA.
